Do you play an instrument to a good standard (around grade 8)? Would you like to play some of the great orchestral repertoire as well as interesting contemporary music?

We're a friendly, sociable bunch and new players are warmly welcomed. Our members come from many different backgrounds: a few of us are teachers; most of us simply share a love of good music making. There's no formal audition; however, we like to invite prospective new players to come along to a few rehearsals before joining us as a member.

Rehearsals take place on Tuesday evenings during term time at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Coldharbour Road, Pyrford, Woking GU22 8SP. They run from 7.30–9.45pm with a break in the middle for tea or coffee. Our musical repertoire is very varied. It can sometimes be challenging but rehearsals are always good-humoured and rewarding. Our conductor’s inspiring direction and vast knowledge of music keep them interesting too.

We currently have vacancies in the string section. We also need deps from time to time in the other sections, so please do get in touch if you're interested in playing with us. An opportunity might arise at any time.
